To provide telephony services, all smartphones have what is called a SIM Card. By inserting this card (chip) into a phone device, the user authenticates in the network according to operator information. These SIM cards have the possibility to handle different applications inside, such as SIM App Push.

The SIM App Push is an application in the SIM card that is available on the users' phone. It is used for pushing messages, launching URLs and trigger commands

The SAP

Each carrier owns his SIM app and can change it's content remotely. Usually they offers some actions to the user (promotions, offers, benefits, ringtones, music etc), but can be used for our solutions as well.

The size of the applet (technology which allows de SAP) is aprox. 5600 bytes, depending on the version.

The Applet

By definition, an applet is a piece of software that performs a specific activity within another larger program. In the case of SAP, it is precisely this applet that allows us to carry out commands from the SIM.

Therefore, in order for the SAP solution to work on the devices, it is essential that our applet be installed on the devices.
