MFA (Multi-factor authentication) is an authentication method in which a user is granted access to DIGITALREEF portal only after successfully presenting the password and a second authentication mechanism. Therefore, for an unauthorized person to use your account, they would need to know your password AND have physical access to your smartphone.

MFA setup

When the portal administrator adds you as a new user, they need to indicate if MFA will be enabled for your account or not.

If MFA is enabled for your user, the first time you login, a screen as below will appear:

To configure it on your cellphone, you'll need to:

  1. Install Google Authenticator app.
    1. For Android Click here
    2. For iOS Click here
  2. Open Google Authenticator app.
  3. Click on the + icon
  4. Using Google Authenticator app, you take a picture of the QR Code
  5. In the DIGITALREEF portal, you need to type the 6-digits number that is appearing in your app
  6. Click on "Confirm"

That's it! Your account is safer. Every time you log in, you need to type the number that is appearing in your app.
