Audience Selection: know more

Knowing who your target audience is, is crucial to the success of your campaign. If you choose an audience that is highly specific to the type of campaign you are creating, you increase the likelihood that people will interact with it (a high CTR - Click Through Rate -, for example) but you may not have enough reach to achieve your KPI. Whereas, by selecting a broad audience you can reach more people, however, probably with a lower CTR.

Below you will see where to find these options in the audience selection are in the campaign settings.

  • There are a few options available for you to customize your audience logic. Firstly, inside each group you can add clusters.

  • When adding a cluster, you need to define if the group will include or exclude users with that characteristic. For instance, you can decide to create a group that includes people who live in the United States and another group that excludes those who live in Texas. This way your audience selection will be everyone who lives in the United States, except Texas.

  • Clusters inside a group all follow the same function, include or exclude. You cannot have a cluster to include and another to exclude, all within the same group. If you wish to include one cluster and also exclude another you need to create different groups for each of the clusters.

  • Also, you can define the logic operator between clusters inside the groups. For example, you can create a group composed by people who eat pizza OR meat, either one of these conditions need to be met. Or a group of that eats pizza AND meat, a person needs to meet both conditions for her to receive the notification. Logic operators will always be the same among the clusters inside the group.

  • You can also define the logic operators between groups which will also be the same.
